HP has added a new model to its HP Sprout Series of computers. The new model named Sprout Pro has got upgraded specifications compared to the original Sprout, and also comes coupled with a range of suites. The new model will be available in select regions from the beginning of next month, and the prices will start from $2199 (roughly Rs. 1,50,000). HP had launched the Sprout series in 2014, and it has become one of the favourite tools for developers and product designers all over. Sprout was an all in one desktop designed specifically for product designers. The previous Sprout had a touch sensitive mat, and was capable of measuring 2D and 3D objects places upon it. With the new variant of the Sprout series, HP is leaping huge steps and has made the product way better.
The new HP Sprout Pro comes with massive specifications. It comes with a 10 point touch 23 inch full HD display giving a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The machine is powered by a sixth generation Core i7-6700 processor with Nvidia GeForce GT 945A (1GB GDDR5) graphics card. The high power machine also has 8GB of DDR4-2133 SDRAM which is expandable up to 16 GB. The new HP Sprout Pro will also have 1TB Solid state hybrid drive which comes with an 8GB flash drive making the PC capable for heavy data works. The machine also sports a 1 megapixel webcam.
The highlight of this machine is the HP illuminator. It is a built in projector which comes with a 14.6 megapixel camera and also the Intel Real sense 3D camera which helps to capture both 2D and 3D objects instantly. The high performance PC will also have the HP Touch Mat. It is another input device from HP highly useful for developers and designers. The HP touch mat is a 20 inch mat with an ultra resistant top coating and also has 20 point touch capabilities. The touch mat serves as a keyboard and mouse, and also serves the purpose of a second monitor. HP is also offering the Adonit Jot Pro stylus along with the mat to write and draw.
The new HP Sprout Pro will run Windows 10 Pro out of the box. The machine will have 2 USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports and an HP 3 in 1 media card reader. For wireless connectivity, the machine will support 10/100/1000 Base-T Network, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n featuring dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO technology and Bluetooth 4.0. the new variant from the Sprout series seems to be a true performer from the specifications we know.
To enhance the user experience, and also to utilise its capabilities to the best, HP is also coming up with a range of new apps which will go along with the HP Sprout Pro. Most noted among them will be the HP scan, which is an application which enables professional level document scanning, and also the HP External Display Mixer. The company has not revealed when this new variant will be available in India. But serious developers and product designers can expect to get their hands on the machine hopefully soon.
