Samsung’s Unpacked Event
The Samsung Unpacked Event for the last three years at IFA have brought us new phablets and this time there will be no exception. From the part of Samsung, the company has only been putting out teasers or trailers for the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 at #IFA2014, but the rumors have kept us somewhat updated.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will probably feature a 5.7″ qHD screen with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. The device will also feature super AMOLED screen with a Snapdragon 805 or an Exynos 5433 Chipset 64-bit. The primary camera will be a 16 MP. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be accompanied by an S Pen.

Sony Xperia Devices
The teaser video out from Sony has made its intentions clear: fans can expect a trio of Xperia devices at #IFA2014. The trio of devices will be composed of the Sony Xperia Z3, the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, and the Xperia Z3 Tablet. The Z3 Tablet may be compact according to sources. The third generation of Sony’s smartwatches should also be launched. Also, Sony is said to be working on its Virtual Reality headset too.
Xperia Z3 Compact
The Xperia Z3 Compact is the sequel to the Xperia Z1 Compact. The device is expected to pack a 4.6″ 1080p screen with Sony’s trademark 20.7 MP camera. The chipset will be the Snapdragon 801. Nokia, or now Microsoft, is expected to launch two mid-range smartphones at the upcoming IFA 2014. The Windows devices of this year have only been either entry-level smartphones for the first tier buyers or the flagship devices for the top-level buyers and so the change to the mid-range is welcome. Apart from these devices, fans might get to see a brand change at IFA 2014 – we might see the ‘Nokia by Microsoft’ logo soon.
Nokia Lumia 730, Lumia 830, and Lumia 930
There is not much info on these devices, but we do know that they will carry the 20 MP PureView Camera. The Lumia 930 chipset is expected to be a Snapdragon 800 and lower in the Lumia 830. The Lumia 730 will be the cheapest of the trio with a 5 MP selfie front camera. The Lumia 730 is said to support Dual SIM functionality and LTE connectivity.
