Overview

Lenovo is again stirring up the hybrid laptop/tablet market with the launch of the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro. This is the 3rd generation of the Yoga Pro hybrid laptop/tablet.

Details & Specifications

The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is a 2-in-1 or an UltraBook that has a rotating 360° hinge. This enables it to be like a laptop as well as a tablet. The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro has a 13” display with a QHD+ resolution and is bigger than most hybrid displays.

The Yoga 3 Pro has a metal/plastic hybrid casing. What stands out though is the Yoga’s hinge. The Yoga 3 Pro is going to be available in three colors. The Yoga 3 Pro doubles up as a tablet. This enables it to have a touchscreen.

The Yoga 3 Pro contains Intel’s Broadwell Core M 5Y70 processor, allowing it to have a fanless operation. The Intel processor is paired with an integrated Intel GPU.

The entry-level Yoga 3 Pro comes with 8 GB of RAM and either a 256 GB or a 512 GB SSD storage option. You can also add a full-sized SD card to this mix, thereby increasing your storage options.

The Yoga hybrid laptop/tablet has a total of 3 USB ports, and you can also use the 2.0 port for DC-in power. The Yoga has a micro-HDMI port for its external display options.

Lenovo is advocating that the Yoga 3 Pro hybrid laptop/tablet has “up to 9 hours” of battery life. Lenovo has not mentioned under what conditions this is. The Yoga hybrid laptop/tablet has a 720p front-facing camera.

The entry-level Yoga 3 Pro hybrid laptop/tablet runs Windows 8.1, and the expensive version has Windows 8.1 Pro.

Release Date & Price

The Yoga hybrid laptop/tablet will start shipping by the end of October 2014. The Yoga hybrid laptop/tablet will be priced at $1,350.
