Making headlines for quite a few months now the alleged Microsoft’s Surface Phone is rumored to be unveiled by early 2017 only. A latest tip suggests that Microsoft Surface Phone could sport Snapdragon 830 SoC with 8 GB of RAM.

As per a report from Forbes, MSM8998 might be the next-generation high end chipset from Qualcomm and Snapdragon 830. Successor of Snapdragon 820 SoC the Snapdragon 830 could support upto 8 GB of RAM and be fabricated on Samsung’s 10nm.
Based on earlier reports Microsoft was said to unveil three models. These three models intended to target the regular consumers, business specific and enthusiasts. As of now there are no details about the specifications or features of the smartphone. However the Surface phones for these different categories are anticipated to vary based on storage, processor and other features. Also the three Surface phones are expected to priced at different price markets.
A major reason for the delay to launch the Surface phones is said to be because of the Windows 10 Mobile OS. Reports also suggest that Microsoft pulled back development of Lumia line and also cancelled its other product launches for some time now. It was at an event last year, Microsoft CMO had hinted that the company might be developing a breakthrough Surface phone. So expect the Surface Phones to be high end super premium quality and build.
